Hi, I’m Julie.

I am a bigger bodied, apple shaped woman myself, so I know and understand the pain, alongside the trials and tribulations of having a bigger body. But i have spent a lot of time, money, effort and study to learn about colour analysis, body shapes and proportions, effective styling, and wardrobe management. And now I do genuinely true love and accept myself (belly and all!).

Because of my personal and professional knowledge, skills, and experience, I specialise in helping both apple shaped men and women who feel overlooked, uncomfortable in their bodies, or unsure about their style — finally feel seen, confident, and comfortable in their own skin.

I work with clients who have spent years hiding behind big, black, baggy clothes, shrinking themselves, apologising for taking up space, or believing they had to wait to feel worthy of style or attention until they lost weight, felt more confident, or “fixed” themselves first.

You don’t need to wait anymore. And you don’t need to shrink to shine.

I believe confidence starts at the core - just like an apple (hence my business name).

When your inner self feels strong, understood, and supported, it naturally shows on the outside — in how you stand, dress, speak, and show up.

And that’s the work we do together.

Why I Do This Work

Before this, I spent years as a Clinical Hypnotherapist, Counselling Psychotherapist and Coach, specialising in confidence, identity, and self-worth.

And over and over again, I saw the same old patterns:

People were trying to work on the outside - the diets, the clothes, the hiding, the shame, the embarrassment - when what they really needed was support to understand who they are, what they wanted, what colours bought the best out of them, how to dress for their particular body size and shape, and to feel proud of themselves, and express themselves fully.

I lived it too. As a plus-size , bigger bellied woman, I know the pressure, the judgement, the shame, the “cover up and blend in or hide” mindset and the exhaustion of trying to not be seen.

And I also know the power of rebuilding confidence from the inside and the outside. Learning what suits you, what feels like you, what lights you up — that changes everything.

So I created Apple Body Confidence to bring both worlds together: body confidence, colour mastery, and personal style that is grounded in real psychology, empathy, practicality, and lived experience for us beautiful apple shaped people.

How We Work Together

All sessions are held face-to-face in Northampton, either at your home, your workplace, or a private hotel space if you prefer discretion or privacy.

Every experience is personal, private, and deeply supported.

I only work with a small number of clients at a time so you receive my full attention, expertise, and care.
